Hi there. Welcome to the forum.
Tips? Well, honestly just be yourself and try to keep your commentary as good as possible. As said by JoshJepson in that one stream, "Don't Stop Talking!" is practically a golden rule.
Also, find ways of promoting yourself without coming off as annoying or desperate. The way LP community works nowadays, it's very unlikely you will get 50 subs overnight. A good way to start is by finding semi-popular LPers who have lots of subs but don't get video responses, and post your vids as video responses to theirs.
And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Just be vigilant. No matter how lame or corny a joke is it adds to the effect of full commentary. It helps to be analytical about anything and everything, so if the slightest thing spikes your interest just randomly mention it and build from there. But yea I get what you mean, some games in which you are ether focusing too hard or there isn't much going on can be difficult. Just make the best of it.

Hi, welcome to the forum!
As for tips, try to follow JoshJepson's rule of "don't stop talking." Just say something when you feel like saying something. Little by little you will improvise more and more. As for what to say, that varies from person to person (just compare the commenatary of NintendoCapriSun and darkmindedsith, two LPers that I really like). Here are some other advices I have:
- Don't force yourself to be funny; people notice that and may not like it.
- Be yourself and DON'T copy from others.
- Make sure you enjoy the game you're LP'ing. Games like that will make it easier for you to talk more.
And...yeah, that's all I can think of right now! :p

Having huge biceps and pecks helps.
Or am I thinking of bench pressing? Oh yeah.
